Description

1600V Controllers for motorized valves

The 1600V series microprocessor controller is designed for three-step motorized valves and comes in 48x96 mm or 96x96 mm formats (1/8 DIN - 1/4 DIN).
Built using SMT technology, the controller provides a comprehensive operator interface protected by a Lexan membrane, offering IP65-rated faceplate protection.
It features 4 front panel keys, two 4-digit green LED displays, 4 red LEDs indicating the status of logic or relay outputs, and 3 additional programmable LEDs for operational states. A 10-LED red bargraph can display analog outputs for control, inputs, deviations, or valve position.
The universal main input supports various sensors, including thermocouples, resistance thermometers, thermistors, linear signals, and potentiometers, with customizable linearization via the faceplate. No external shunts or adapters are required.
Input correction is available through a linear function defined by two points. An auxiliary isolated analog input can be configured for linear signals or potentiometer feedback from the valve.
Two isolated digital inputs can be programmed for selecting up to 4 local setpoints, controlling internal timers, Auto/Manual, Local/Remote functions, alarm memory reset, or input hold.
The controller supports up to 4 outputs (relays 3A/250V or logic 12Vdc/20mA), with 2 outputs dedicated to valve open/close functions, and up to 2 isolated analog outputs in voltage or current. Each output is fully configurable via the keypad for functions such as valve control, alarms, timer-controlled output, digital input repetition, retransmission of process value, setpoint, deviation, alarm setpoint, or value read from communication.
An additional isolated output (10 or 24 Vdc, 30 mA max) is available to power external transmitters or potentiometers.
RS485 (RS232C compatible) communication enables remote reading, parameter modification, and online control (local/remote manual/automatic switching, timer control, direct output control). Supported protocols include MODBUS RTU and CENCAL (Gefran).
Valve-specific parameters are included, such as actuator stroke time, minimum pulse time, impulse intervention threshold, and dead zone. Control type can be configured with or without potentiometer feedback and with PD or PID algorithm.
Programming is simplified using function blocks (CFG for control, Inp for inputs, Out for outputs, etc.) and a simplified menu for commonly used parameters. The display can automatically hide non-influential parameters based on hardware configuration.
A PC programming kit is available with a Windows-based configuration program and connection cable (see data sheet cod. 80021).
