Description
These microprocessor controllers are available in 48x96 mm (1/8 DIN) format for the 1200 series and 96x96 mm (1/4 DIN) format for the 1300 series, constructed using SMT technology.
They feature a complete operator interface protected by a Lexan membrane, providing IP65-rated front panel protection.
The interface includes 4 keys, dual 4-digit green LED displays, 4 red LEDs for relay or logic outputs, and 3 additional programmable LEDs to indicate various operational states.
The primary input is universal, compatible with thermocouples, resistance thermometers, thermistors, and standardized linear signals, all configurable from the front panel with optional custom linearization. No external shunts or adapters are required.
An auxiliary analog input for a current transformer is also provided. The digital input allows selecting one of two setpoints, switching between Manual and Automatic modes, resetting alarms, or enabling the hold function.
The instrument supports up to 4 outputs: relay (5A, 250VAC/30VDC, cosφ = 1) or logic (24V ±10%, 10V min at 20mA).
An analog output, configurable in voltage or current, is available, and all outputs can be assigned freely via the front panel. Outputs may replicate control/alarm signals, digital input status, process variables, setpoints, deviations, alarm points, or values from serial communication.
An additional 24VDC (30mA max) output powers external transmitters.
Serial communication can be implemented via Current Loop or RS485 using the MODBUS RTU protocol, with speeds up to 19200 baud. Programming is simplified by organizing parameters into function blocks (CFG for control, Inp for inputs, Out for outputs).
The controller automatically displays only relevant parameters based on its hardware configuration.
An "EASY" configuration mode requires only essential parameters for operation: set the setpoint, configure alarms, and initiate self-tuning via a dedicated button.
For even easier setup, a PC programming kit with a cable and guided Windows software (Technical Data code WINSTRUM) is available.
